This year is all about community for me. Ever since starting Contrast Studio, for most it has mainly been one on one personal training sessions, so a lot of my clients don't meet eachother which is crazy to me! So 2026 my aim is to build Contrast Studio into more of a community, get clients mingling, get everyone supporting eachother. So to start that off we will be having a walking group each Saturday (details below) - totally free for all not just members, and I will bring refreshments etc

Even though we only had half of 2025 together, I just want to say a huge thank you to all my wonderful clients for supporting my business this year. Contrast Studio has the most amazing people coming through the doors and I am so grateful.

After being on maternity leave, I am returning to work in mid Feb 2026! Woohoo! I can't wait to get back into it and see all your beautiful faces again. We will be offering private training, small group sessions, and mums classes offsite at another location with more space and an area where little ones can play.

As you all know, we are expecting a baby girl this August! πŸ’•πŸ‘Ά
This is just a wee reminder that I am finishing up all group classes, bootcamp, and one on one PT sessions from 1st of June.
Yikes! We only have four weeks left! 😳
Our gym space will be available for use once I finish up if you would like - each hire session will be one hour long - pm for pricing.
I will also still be creating online workout plans for those already getting these or if you are interested in giving them a go.
Thanks to you all again for being so supportive and understanding. I can't wait to come back and kick some butt with you guys again! Please don't be strangers πŸ’—πŸ₯°

It's essential to listen to your body and prioritize recovery. Here are some points to consider:

- Rest and recovery: Allow your body time to recover, as exercising while sick can prolong your recovery time.

- Risk of injury: Exercising while sick can increase your risk of injury due to fatigue, dizziness, and decreased coordination.

- Immune system suppression: Intense exercise can suppress your immune system, making it harder for your body to fight off the illness.

- Respiratory issues: If you have a respiratory infection, exercising can put extra strain on your lungs and exacerbate symptoms.

Contrast Studio's wonderful Tracey has achieved an amazing milestone of hitting a 10kg loss and she deserves some celebrating! I am beyond proud of this lady as she comes in for every session and works extremely hard, yet still has a smile on her face (and provides great banter). Tracey not only has one on one training with me, but she also fits in yoga sessions, heads to the aquatic centre for extra activity, and also works with weight loss coaching works for her nutrition which is awesome! Your 10kg loss is not her only win though, I have witnessed Tracey's gain in strength, range of motion, endurance, and overall fitness capabilities. I can't wait to see all the other amazing milestones you will reach, and continue to help you progress in your health and fitness journey. Keep up the amazing determination and effort that you continuously show! You are absolutely smashing it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Free life-extending medicine... walking! πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ

Recently I have seen so many fitness influencers online post things along the lines of "Follow my plans, you don't need to do any cardio to lose weight".
Please take what these people say with a grain of salt - of course they want to wow you with their statements of how easy it is to lose weight so you will sign up to whatever they are trying to sell.
At the end of the day cardio is one of the easiest ways to burn calories... but there is also more to being healthy.

One thing I encourage all my clients to do is walk on days off from training. Why?... Just look at all the benefits below 🀯
Walking for roughly 20 minutes per day can cut your risk of heart disease by 30%.
Walking 4,000 steps per day can reduce your risk of dementia by 25%, 10,000 steps per day and your risk could be reduce by 50%.
Scientists claim that the fresh air has neurological benefits including stress reduction, increasing focus, and making you feel more vital.

How did a whole year fly by like that???

A new year is the perfect opportunity to set yourself a goal, fitness related or not. It can be super simple or super challenging, for example, getting a more restful sleep, drinking more water, moving your body every day for a certain amount of time.... it can be anything!
My main focus this year is nutrition - this obviously goes hand in hand with training, but sometimes I just forget how important it is to have a good balance (in saying that, we are all human and love a good treat occasionally). Four things I want rotating in my head in 2024 to focus on is the points below. All of these 4 points are the perfect combo to succeed! πŸ₯³πŸ’ͺ

Another goal of mine is to focus on this page too! I will be a lot more present this year I promise!
