Ōtautahi Speed Skating Club Speed skating club Ōtautahi Speed Skating Club was originally set up as one of the skating sports under the well established Ōtautahi Rollers.

Since then the club has grown and we are now an independent speed skating club. We also operate and run the Rollerdrome in Hornby. Our speed skating club is relatively new to Christchurch and offers children and adults of all abilities the opportunity to learn to skate in a fun and social environment. Whether you just want the enjoyment of skating, the great fitness it gives you, or the the opport

unity to compete at local, national or international level, we offer it all. Speed skating is broken down into 3 elements; road racing, banked track racing and flat track racing (indoors). It can range from 100m time trials right through to marathon racing, not to mention the ever fun relay racing. So, why don't you come along and find out for yourself? You just need your own pair of inline skates, a bike helmet and gloves and we will teach you the rest. Training days/times
Monday’s 5pm-6pm KartSport track, Carrs Road, Halswell
Wednesday’s 5pm-6pm Rollerdrome, Garvins Road, Hornby
Friday’s 5pm-7pm Rollerdrome, Garvins Road, Hornby.

Event 2 of the Winter Mini Series is tomorrow at Pioneer Stadium. Warm up at 10am with skating to start from 10.30am to 2pm. $10 cash enter fee per skater at the door, prizes for all participants plus prizes for the overall winner in each grade. Good luck everybody and see you tomorrow 😊

Event 2 of the Winter Mini Series is this weekend. Sunday 10th May at Pioneer Stadium, Christchurch.

We have been faced with yet another time change for this event. It will now be held from 10am to 2pm. Please get in touch if you would like any further information. Please pass this update onto skaters who may not see this post. Thanks and see you all on Sunday.
