Christchurch Boys' High School International

We have a reputation for academic excellence, and offer a multitude of cultural and sporting activities in and out of the classroom. We are a Year 9 - 13 state secondary school for boys, with a total roll of 1350 students. The school has a reputation for academic excellence and an extensive co-curricular programme, and is regarded as one of New Zealand's leading schools.

All students are prepared for the National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) in Years 11, 12 and 13. Cambridge English and Mathematics are also offered. Accelerant and extension classes operate at all levels. Four hours timetabled ESOL classes are available to all International Students, with extra individual or small group tuition provided as required. We welcome students from other countries who want to come to New Zealand to have the genuine New Zealand experience; study, improve your rugby skills (or skills in a multitude of other sports and activities), and have the total outdoor experience! Christchurch Boys' High School has produced 41 ALL BLACKS. Our First XV has been # 1 in New Zealand several years. They won the unofficial schools' World Championship at the Sanix Tournament in Japan in 2005 and 2006. Dan Carter is probably our most recognised All Black at the moment.
