🐴Club day 21st June at Cave Domain. 11 am start.
“Drill riding with Shona”
- riding as a cohesive group learning to self manage while working as a team.
Harder than it sounds !
This really helps horse responsiveness, timing, spatial awareness / confidence and communication skills .
A shared lunch afterwards is always encouraged 🥰

Club Day today, at Shona and Rhys Drummond farm out at Maungati I am sure some more photos to come, but meanwhile a few taken by Dagmar and Pip, Also some videos from Shona, we started off with quietly moving the cattle to one end of the field, and then back towards the yards, then we kept them quietly mobbed up in a group, and we took turns moving one steer out of the herd, and separating it, and then putting it back in, then the same, but moving the steer along the fence line and then back, once we got them into the yards, we went in pairs and took one steer out, one at a time into a adjoining yard, until 8 were a separate herd. Then we moved the cattle along the road, and back to a new paddock at Shona and Rhys's home. Then time for a cuppa and lunch, the weather was calm, sunny and warm enough, a great outing.
