Rahui Coastal Loop 1 or 3 day bike trip in the beautiful country to the wild Wairarapa coast. www.rahuicoastal.co.nz The hard work is done by the bike, they are very cool.

Nothing better than cruzing along at bike pace through the countryside, wind in your hair, country smells and country air. Amazing views at the top then you hit the coastal section...Beautiful way to spend the day. About 5 hours at a leisurely pace. eBking the dream!

Well done to Dad at Rahui and neighbour Ian Perry at Orere for spearheading this project of restoring and resurrecting the Nissen hut. It was an important part of Tinui’s community fabric after the war.

Last weekend at Tinui saw the unveiling of a plaque to honour the memory of the many rehab farmers who settled in the area. It coincided with Tinui School’s 150th anniversary.

Tinui Anzac Trust members and Tinui primary school graduates Ian Perry and Bill Maunsell managed the project.

I'm organising a long weekend getaway with some friends. Here's the itinerary.. what have I missed?

Day 1
☕️ Meet at the at the Castlepoint Store.
🛌 Stay Castlepoint Holiday Park
🏌‍♂️ Play a round of golf Castlepoint Golf Club
🍔 Dinner Tinui Bar and Cafe

Day 2
🛌 Stay Castlepoint Holiday Park
🚴‍♀️ bike the Rahui Coastal Loop 🍴🥂Dinner and drinks The Whakataki.
- Catch the courtesy van.

Day 3.
Walk up to the lighthouse before leaving Castlepoint.
Call into the tinuifoodforest.
Visit the Tinui craft corner.
🛍 When back in Masterton, time for some shopping Absolutely Boutique 🦩
🥘late lunch Gladdy_inn .
Head home late afternoon.
