Today is the last day of Cambridge Mini Hockey for 2025!
It has been fantastic seeing all our players and teams learn and improve their skills, play with awesome sportsmanship and teamwork, grow a love for hockey and most importantly have fun playing Hockey.
To the coaches and managers, thank you for creating a safe place and supporting our junior superstars.
To our umpires, you are all amazing and we appreciate all you do.
To Ben thanks for the time and effort you have put in to ensure a quality hockey module is available for our players.
To Nathan and Shelley, thanks for the WHA support for this module.
To our players, you are all superstars, you are the reason we do what we do!
See you all in 2026! 🏑 🏑

Hi all, the last week of the season for Cambridge Mini Hockey is Friday, 29th August.
The draw is being emailed out to clubs and schools and will be available on PlayHQ from Monday afternoon next week.
Remember all teams can dress up on the last day. It's important to either wear your uniform playing top or for the whole team to be dressed the same.
Huge thanks to all the coaches, managers, umpires, supporters and especially especially Ben for making Cambridge Mini Hockey possible.
To ALL the superstar players, you rock! Seeing you out there learning and improving your Hockey skills but most importantly having fun, is why we do what we do!

We have had the following message from St Peters regarding mini hockey tonight.

Please allow extra time for parking this afternoon/evening.
There will be limited grass parking.
Please follow the instructions of the parking wardens for the nearest available parking.

Hi all,

Mini hockey is all go!

It is raining so come prepared.
Should we get thunder and lightning we will sound the ho**er 3 times and everyone needs to get off the turf!

Our superstars are more than welcome to wear extra layers UNDER their playing tops.

Please do not arrive at St. Peters until 3.40 pm to allow their students and families to leave site.
The parking wardens are there to help us remember to listen to instructions and be kind!

There are currently no cancellations in place for Friday 9th May. If anything changes, notifications will appear on the homepage of our website and there will be a message on our page. 🌧️

Kia Ora Cambridge Hockey Team,

We are rapidly approaching our final session of Cambridge mini, what a cool season it’s been and thanks for letting me be a part!

Thank you volunteers :-) Keep reading to nominate a volunteer in our hockey community to thank them for all their time and efforts for hockey.

🤩 Happy Friday, and Happy Volunteer Week! 🤩
There is no doubt we have some amazing Hockey Heroes in our community, and we want to celebrate them!
Volunteers put in countless hours of hard work every season so that we can all enjoy our awesome game.

Thank you to all of our Volunteers for the mahi you put in to keep Waikato Hockey thriving!

🏑 Those who volunteer to coach our kids’ teams, we appreciate the hours you spend planning & delivering training sessions as well as committing weekends to the game.
🏑 Our community umpires, who do their best week in and week out to keep our game fair – we appreciate the time you invest to upskilling yourself to give it your best!
🏑 Our secretaries, treasurers and administrators who make sure everyone is registered and paid on time.
🏑 Those who look after the team gear, do the washing, and make sure every player has what they need to enjoy their time on the turf.
🏑 Our super talented photographers who dedicate hours of their own time to capture those magic shots for our teams and players to treasure.

For the safety of our community we are going to call off Cambridge Mini Hockey tonight.

The poor weather mixed in with the Field Days traffic have caused some concerns. Enjoy your Friday night everyone and we will see you back next week!

All the best for the 2nd week of Cambridge Mini everyone! Ben will be down there again tonight to help out with anything you need.

This message has come in from St Peter's regarding parking for tonight.

"Hi all. Due to the amount of rain, we have had over the last few days, the overflow grass at St Peter’s will not be available to park on for sports tonight".
