We offer a range of track cycling programmes, a gym that is open to the public & boxing, BJJ and our Active Agers. The Grassroots Trust Velodrome is the New Zealand National Cycling Center of Excellence, based in Cambridge. Central to this facility is the world class, 250m indoor cycling velodrome. The Grassroots Trust Velodrome is both a High Performance and community facility. Our 'open door' po

licy allows the public to come and visit for free anytime during our opening hours. Bring the kids out and use the free bike skills park, visit The Bikery Cafe, watch riders training on the track, and even get riding on the track yourself! We've also got the Velodrome Gym located here at the Grassroots Trust Velodrome.

Give him a spin on the track with a Velodrome Have-a-Go voucher. No track experience needed with the bike, helmet and coaching all included.

And another shout out, this time to Tinsley Janes who also came away with a GOLD!

"Today was UCI World Time Trial Championships in Niseko. Finally got to the top of the podium. Happy to have the two Japanese riders alongside as we shared the podium in Fukushima earlier this year."

Well done Tinsley. And a massive congrats to all the kiwi riders who raced in Niseko, some fantastic results.

Eyes are now on the 2026 UCI Masters Track World Championships, held 5th – 11th October at the Lee Valley VeloPark Velodrome in London - safe travels and we can't wait to tune in to cheer you all on!

This week we are back to our roots with some Team Sprint action.

Rusty quartz will have the food, music will be jamming and like always - there will be some fun racing to get stuck into and a live stream for those at home.

What a weekend. We had so much fun hosting the Whoosh Masters Track Carnival. An annual event on the 30+ calendar that we look forward to every year.
