Sandy heading back out to the paddock - handy enough to jump on in a halter & lead and over her rug.

Eski in his merry ordinariness today in the XC paddock. You couldn't fault his attitude - and he's great over the ditch - but he really is a terrible jumper!
You could probably enter a 65cm ODE and win it though, as he'd do well on the flat and happily jump around whatever you asked him to.

He's off on trial tomorrow to someone who understands jumping is not his forte...

Me: "Eski is a TERRIBLE jumper!" 😳
The FB people: "Oh he'll get better..." 🤷‍♀️
Eski: "Watch this!!" 🥴

Remember - I have seen one or two in my day (the 20 years I've been doing this as a job) and while we're absolutely forgiving of greenness and gangly babies - I'm sticking with my 'he's hopeless' judgement!

Are you ready to be wowed by Eski's XC efforts...?
You'll be waiting a while... 🤭

Alpino (15.3hh-ish 8yo Vanbrugh mare) - 2nd schooling session back with us.
She's been out of proper work for a while so lacking a bit of strength but you can see she's quite fancy and knows her job...
No hi-jinx ride 2 either.

If you want one that's ready to go and has a bit of class, she's your girl!

Goose getting swished up ready to go back to the racing stable - with no bleached bits! 🤭

Sandy also went on the float (I'd say not relaxed, but no fuss either - just a bit kicky when the other mare walked about behind her to load second) down to Balmoral on Tuesday.

You Wish (Sam) has found herself a home at a stud farm, being an embryo recipient mare - she's going to love having babies again!
It'll be a shame they don't carry her genetics but they will have the opportunity to inherit her sweet, people-loving nature - and love of food!
