Morning, we head to Rotorua today with 3 of team and they depart Cambridge in great order.
Bit showery in Vegas, not sure how much the track will deteriorate, hopefully not to much.
Hell Island contests R4, the R65 1400m with Corentin Berge up.
Fresh up today, with a recent trial win under his belt , he is forward enough to run a big race.
Sassy Lass and Son Of Sun contest the Staphanos Classic over 1950m.
They are recent additions to the stables, and have fitted in well.
Sassy Lass has a gear change today, hopefully this will ignite what she is capable of, and Ace Lawson Carroll takes the mount.
Son of Sun went a nice race first up, his sectionals were good and he has really progressed since that outing.
Warren Kennedy takes the reins and I expect him to be very competitive.
Good luck to all connections and fingers crossed for a good day for the team.

Nice days racing coming up today at Matamata, we trek across with two runners from the Stable.
Boxmoss contests the Fairview Matamata Kaimai Stakes, a listed event over 1600m. Regular rider Warren Kennedy takes the mount and he ran home strongly when resuming recently at Ellerslie and he came through the race in great order. The 1600m is short of his best distance, but he should be finishing off the race late, and we expect him to run a big race.
Vanity Girl is a mare I really rate and she will line up in the last race, the R 65 Matamata Function Centre 1400. She had a trial a few weeks back and a couple of jumpouts to fit her for her resuming run today, sadly she didn't draw the best, but I expect her to run a race in what is an even field on paper.
Good luck to connections!

Our star Steeplechaser pictured here this morning at the stables before departing for a well earned break at Ian and Shelly Wrights property at Glen Massey.
He has had a great season, picking up the Pakuranga Hunt Cup, another chase at Woodville. Sundays run in the big chase was a game one, finishing 3rd , a gallant effort.
He picked up just shy of $100,000 for connections Ron and Maryanne Thompson, loyal supporters of our stable. Michael Roustoby handled him well throughout his campaign, and special thanks to his strapper Mish Lines who is Smugs number one fan, and my loyal staff at home, two of them, Sienna Browne, his regular track rider and McKayla Spencer , my foreman, pictured here.
We have a lovely line up of horses heading into the Summer season, so keep an eye out for our runners gracing the tracks.
Happy holiday Smuggy!

Persistence was the key, start 24 today for Radradra and it was a winning one!
He rewarded his patient owners. May not be his last win!!

Off to TeRapa today with two runners down to compete
Vanity Girl with Matt Cameron up takes on the Set Weight 3yo 1600m race , following on from her recent Avondale 1400m maiden win.
She is a lovely filly with a great attitude, and the extra distance should be right up her alley. It's no secret that I told her in very high regard, she will have this race today then head to the paddock at Serenity Park for a month off. She will really come unto her own in the Spring.
Winwood lines up in the R65 1400m event, the last race on the day. He was a comprehensive winner last start at Pukekohe, coming from last at the 400m mark with a strong run to overhaul the leaders, winning well in the end. Corentin Berge takes the reins and his work and a jumpout have been great, and I look forward to a bid run from him to. Good luck to connections and I hope to see some of you oncourse.
Happy Anzac Day to you all.
