THANK YOU. The Marton Golf Club is a welcoming 18 hole all weather course located 5km off SH3 just outside of Marton. The well groomed course offers 18 challenging holes with some of the best greens in the district. Green Fee players and Visitors are welcome to enjoy the course and hospitality the MGC has to offer.

Tuesday: 9 hole club - 9.30am start
Wednesday: Ladies 18 hole - 9.30am start
Wednesday: Twilight - 4.30pm start (summer)
Thursday: Stableford Comp. - 10.30am start
Saturday: Mens & Ladies Comp. - 11.00am start

Saturday at the Marton Golf Club saw the final round of the annual McDonald Mugs Trophy competition played.
With 14 teams at the start they all fought hard to leave two teams left for the final round.
This year the finalists were Liam Bremner and Alan Simmons and they played off against Graham Marshall and Richard Ellery.
A tough battle carried on through most of the round with victory finally going to Liam Bremner and Alan Simmons.
Congratulations and well done Liam and Al.

The crew is all set up for the McVerry Crawford motor group and BJW golf tournament today.
Weather is good let’s hope there is some good scoring out on the course today!

COURSE CLOSED!!!!
MARTON GOLF COURSE HAS A VERY BUSY FEW DAYS AHEAD!!
The course will be closed, SUNDAY 6th (McVerry Crawford BJW par 3 tournament) and MONDAY 7th( 4 day classic Vets tournament)
The course will be open for play on Tuesday 8th September.
Hope everyone playing over these 2 days will enjoy the course.

Saturday the 29th saw a par competition at the Marton Golf Club and this round included the final round of the Coleman Cup.
This was a competition where the top qualifiers and ties went in to the final list of 15 players to compete for the Coleman Cup.
Conditions of the day were not too bad but the wind showed it's presence to make play somewhat challenging for most.
The one player that showed his skills and played a very good round despite the conditions was our Club President Glenn Jongen who won the cup with an impressive score of plus 3.
Congratulations Glenn.
The runner up was Jarrod Calkin.

With what started out to be a normal round of golf for Marton Golf Club's Richard Ellery on Saturday soon turned out to be a special day when he hit the perfect tee shot for a hole in 1 on the 6th hole.

With just over 2 weeks to go until the McVerry Crawford & BJW Service Centre par 3 challenge at the Marton Golf Club.
Numbers are building fast but there's still room for more so please get your entries in as we are looking forward to seeing you there at our all par 3 Tournament.

Saturday the 15th saw a beautiful warm day greet the Marton Golf Club for their Saturday club day.
With a good turnout, everyone enjoyed the excellent weather and the finalists for the Bill Fullerton-Smith Memorial Salver played for the trophy.
The finalists were decided by being in the top 3 finalists of 5 stipulated rounds over the previous months.
An outstanding score of 41 points saw Graham Marshall win by quite a margin from runner up Ryan Bremner.

What a fantastic night at the second Marton Golf Club Quiz of the year. 13 teams battling it out to see who knew more than the other teams and the club house was buzzing. Eight different rounds tested a variety of subjects and the snacks and bar refills, fuelled the participants throughout the night. It was great to see a full clubhouse. Thanks to all those that came to quiz and to all those that helped. The results on the night were the KleinSinger Theory in second place and the Rotary Moas taking the top spot. There were some interesting answers for what gets stuck to the roof of your mouth in the food round, which provided the markers with a laugh, but not a point for the answer! We look forward to seeing you all for the third quiz night later in the year.
