With the switch to the traffic light system from today, sport is going to look a little different.
Please read the following key guidelines for cricket at Orange. These rules will be relevant for players, spectators, and coaching staff, so please all take note.
- There are currently no mandates in place that require vaccinations for community cricket. This means that matches can continue to be undertaken safely without a Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, but with some other precautions in place.
- We will be taking "Reasonable Steps" in order to keep our players, coaches, and spectators safe. There are obviously some uncontrollable elements to outdoor community sport and this is acknowledged with the use of the term "Reasonable Steps."
- Matches can take place with a designated group (or "gathering") of players on the field who do not need to socially distance while playing. Coaches, umpires, and scorers are identified as a separate group. Spectators should not come into contact with anyone from the other groups during a match, and must ensure physical distancing recommendations of 2m between groups is followed at all times.
- Signing in is still mandatory. Masks are not mandatory, but are encouraged for groups that are not players.
- When travelling to a new region, play takes place under the setting in that region.
So sign in, stay safe, and let's go play some cricket! 💪
