Mega ride by yesterday making the front split that went all the way to the line! He went solo for 30km putting a minute into the front group before being reeled back in and eventually finishing just outside the top 10 up Bluff hill! Bittersweet start to the tour from the boys, 4:57 on the clock just 6 seconds down on the stage winners in 3rd place!

First road stage tomorrow with 151km from Invercargill to Gore and the boys are hoping to get up for a big one with a few options to play!

Signing off, that’s a wrap of the Tour of Southland finishing with a 2nd place to Campbell in the final stage. The team has outdone themselves in their first year at the tour and can’t wait for another lap of the south in 2020. This was only course recon for the future.
