We are excited to be showcasing men's netball this August!

This is a great opportunity to support and celebrate the growth of men's netball in our region while watching some outstanding athletes in action.

🚨BIG NEWS FOR MEN'S NETBALL IN TE TAU IHU🚨

We're excited to announce the Inaugural Nelson vs Marlborough Men's Netball Exhibition Game 🏐🔥

This showcase match will take place on Finals Day - Saturday 29th August 2026 at Marlborough Lines Stadium 2000, and is all about promoting and growing men's netball across our region.

A huge thank you to Marlborough Netball Centre for their support, encouragement, and vision in helping make this opportunity a reality. Their commitment to growing the game has opened the door for what promises to be a fantastic occasion.

This is just the first announcement... 👀 There is plenty more to come, including a rebranded approach as a fresh entity and further playing opportunities.

And yes... before anyone asks 🤣... we happily put AI and ChatGPT on overtime duty to help create these graphics. We're not embarrassed about it either!

After a disappointing start to the day for our representative teams, with flights cancelled due to low visibility, they made the most of the morning by getting together for some friendly match play against each other.

While not quite the start they had planned, it was a great opportunity to get some valuable court time, build combinations, and keep preparations on track for our U18 team. The positive attitudes shown by all players was fantastic to see. Sorry girls not the day we had planned but thank you for your understanding.

A huge thank you to our coaches for quickly reorganising the day and ensuring the players could still make the most of their time together. Your flexibility, commitment, and dedication to these teams is greatly appreciated.

A few weeks ago, one of our standout players, Bex Mark who plays in the Pelorus premier team, was selected for the Mainland Emerging Talent Squad, a fantastic achievement and a testament to her hard work, dedication, and talent on the court.

Opportunities like this are an exciting step in a player's netball journey, and we are incredibly proud to see her representing Marlborough at this level.

Congratulations, Bex! We can't wait to see what you achieve next and look forward to following your progress.
