BREAKING NEWS — AN APOLOGY IS REQUIRED!

It has come to our attention that yesterday's post contained the WRONG ROUTE VIDEO for today's run.

We apologise for any confusion, disappointment or unnecessary excitement this may have caused. We have no idea how such a catastrophic navigational failure could possibly happened.

For anyone wanting more information on today's run, please see below.

And importantly...

THERE ARE ONLY 2 HOURS TO GO!

We are meeting at Speed's Road, Koromiko at 1:45pm for the run briefing, so make sure you're there and ready to go.

So rattle your dags, find your shoes, fill your water bottle and get yourselves organised.

Today's run is going to be fun, even if yesterday's video suggested something completely different!

See you out there.
Get moving — the clock is ticking!

How do you get all those Russian tanks out from the mud?

Ukraine them out!!!!

And speaking of mud...

TOMORROW’S RUN – A FEW IMPORTANT DETAILS

Tomorrow we’re meeting at Speed’s Road, Koromiko at 1:45pm for a race briefing, with the run getting underway shortly after.

A couple of words of advice:
Don't let Tim's Big Stories put you off regardless of you abilities. He's all Bluff and bluster, and has something for everyone, walkers, runner...- maybe not jugglers. 4km to 15 Km

Don’t bring your best shoes.
There will be mud.

Hands up who loves hills?
Excellent. You’re going to have a wonderful time.

And if you’re lucky, you might even spot a beautiful yellow native flower along the way. The foliage is a bit spikey and I believe the locals call it Ulex europaeus.

For those of you who are worried about what Tim has in store for us, he has kindly made a short video of the course so you can see exactly what you're letting yourself in for.

Watch Tim’s course video here - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4f8HoiDX-oA

See you at 1:45pm tomorrow at Speed’s Road, Koromiko.

THE WAIT IS OVER — WELL, SORT OF…(Sorry we know we are 7 mins later than advertised, but good thing come to those who wait!)

Right, after all the rumours, speculation, wild guesses and some completely ridiculous theories…

We’re finally revealing the location.

Actually…

We’ve changed our minds.

We’re only telling you the meet-up point.

You’ll have to come for the details of the run.

THE DETAILS

📍 Speeds Road, Koromiko

Drive over the railway line and head down the road. About halfway down the first straight, look for the Harriers sign on the right.

Run briefing: 1:45pm Saturday 5 September
Run starts: 2pm

As for what lies beyond the sign…

Well, there are options.

Distances range from around 4km right through to 15km, so there is something for pretty much everyone.

We’ve even got one of Tim’s famous “fast and flat” courses.

Although, just to clarify…

There are two definitions of fast and flat:

Normal people's definition:
Fast and flat.

Tim's definition:
Well… it's mostly flat if you ignore the hills.

If you prefer more flat and fast than Tim's definition of flat and fast, there are options for you too.

For the longer runners, bring some water.

And for everyone…

Shoes with a bit of grip would be a very good idea.

So there you have it.

The mystery location is finally revealed.

Speeds Road, Koromiko.

Now all that's left is to find out whether Tim actually knows where he's going.

We’ll see you Saturday.

2pm. Don’t be late.

THE PLOT THICKENS…

We’ve been getting a few questions about Saturday.

So, here’s what we can tell you…

You will need to jump in the car and travel to the start.

It’s about 15 minutes.

Which, in Harriers terms, is really just long enough to ask:

“Are we there yet?”

As for the run…

There are hills, but there are choices.

There are views, although whether you actually stop long enough to appreciate them is another question.

We are not far from the sea…

…but you probably won’t be seeing it.

There may be a little bit of uphill, followed by a rather more enjoyable amount of downhill.

And somewhere along the way, there is a point where you’ll probably think:

“I wonder if Tim actually knows where we’re going?”

The answer to that remains classified.

NOW IS THE TIME TO GUESS!

Put your best theory in the comments.

Where do you think we’re going?

There will be a prize for the first person to get it right!

So get guessing…

FINAL CLUE COMING TOMORROW — 3AM.

Then all will be revealed!

Saturday — 2pm.

THE MYSTERY IS GETTING CLOSER…

Right, we can finally reveal another little piece of the puzzle.

This Saturday’s run is going to require a little road trip to the start.

Nothing too dramatic — about 15 minutes should get us there.

By now, some of you clever lot might think you’ve got it worked out.

We’re not ones to jump to conclusions before we’ve crossed the creek, but let’s just say there are some interesting Storey’s being discussed…

🌲 Some forest
🪨 Some gravel
🌊 A bit of water
🐋 That mysterious tail
⛰️ A pass
…and a few different choices to make.

Are you starting to put the pieces together?

Maybe you’ve cracked it.

Or maybe Tim is just sending you down the wrong creek…

Saturday. 2pm.

More clues to come.

31/08/2026

THE PLOT THICKENS…

If curiosity killed the cat, then moggy's are turning into an endangered species with the rumours and speculation around these posts.

Right, we’re starting to get some answers.

Well… sort of.

We can now confirm that Saturday’s run may involve:

🌲 Some forest
🪨 Some gravel
🌊 Something to do with water
🐋 And that mysterious creature with a tail may be making another appearance…

There is also talk of a pass.

Exactly what that means, we’re not really sure, it doesn't rule out very much..

What we can tell you is that this isn’t your standard Harriers Saturday run.

There are going to be choices to make, routes to take and possibly a few moments where you wonder why you trusted Tim in the first place.

And for those who are already trying to work out where we’re going…

Keep guessing.

You’re probably wrong.

Saturday. 2pm.

The pieces are slowly coming together…

30/08/2026

THE MYSTERY DEEPENS…

The whispers continue.

Some are saying Tim has finally lost the plot.

Others are convinced there is actually a plan behind all this.

We’re not saying which camp is right.

But here’s Clue No. 1…

This Saturday, the Harriers are heading somewhere where there are options.

Will you choose elevation, or do you like mud?

There’ll be a bit of exploring.

A bit of getting off the beaten track.

And if you keep your eyes open, you might spot something rather unusual with a tail.

No, we haven’t been drinking.

No, we don’t know where we are going yet either.

And no, asking Tim will probably only make things more confusing.

Saturday. 2pm.

The mystery continues…

30/08/2026

NEXT SATURDAY 5 SEPT RUN — SOMETHING IS AFOOT…

There have been rumours. Whispers. Intrigue. Questions asked in dark corners of Marlborough.

And at the centre of it all is one man.

Tim.

He’s an enigma.
He’s a myth.
But perhaps the best way to sum him up is… he’s more like a fragrance.

He’s the bloke who somehow keeps pulling another run out of the bag.

And apparently… he’s done it again.

We can confirm absolutely nothing at this stage, other than this:

Nobody. Ever. Has done this run before. Guaranteed.

What we can say is that this is a run you’re only going to be able to do if you’re running with the Harriers.

So whether you’re a member or not, you really don’t want to miss this one.

Where are we going?
How far?
What sort of terrain?

Well… you’ll have to wait.

But perhaps start thinking about your off-road shoes.

More clues coming soon…

Saturday. 2pm.

Something tells us this one is going to be interesting.
