Full throttle towards October! 🚤

Zara and Ruby were making the most of today's conditions at Omaha, getting in some valuable IRB training as they prepare for their IRB Drivers Exam in October.

Every lap, every launch and every session builds confidence, skill and experience behind the wheel. It's awesome to see the commitment they're putting in.

Splish Splash 💦

Our weekly pool sessions are pumping, with plenty of our members hitting the water and putting in the work over winter.

The pool is a great place to keep building swim fitness and skills when we’re away from the beach and last night it was our Rookies’ turn, getting the laps in as they train towards their Lifeguard Award. 💪

Awesome to see so many of our crew making the most of our local pool!

Leading the Way 👊

Congratulations to Flynn Howarth, who attended the Northern Region Senior Leadership Experience Camp on Motutapu Island as a candidate, with Stella Stanley-Hunt attending as a mentor.

Over four days, participants were challenged to develop and put their leadership skills into practice through a range of activities, alongside 16 candidates from across the region, including two from Australia.

The future of surf life saving is looking really exciting!!

Summer lifeguards are made in winter.

While the beaches are quieter, our newest Surf LifeGuard Award trainees are putting in the hard yards, building the skills, fitness and confidence they'll need to help keep our beaches safe this summer.

Every training session brings them one step closer to pulling on the red and yellow. 🟥 🟨

We'd like to say a big thank you to The Superette - Omaha Beach for once again hosting this year's Midwinter Swim in support of Omaha Beach Surf Life Saving Club.

Thank you also to Victoria Turner - Ray White Omaha, our amazing Club President Linda, and the wonderful local businesses who got behind the event, as well as everyone who braved the cold, donated, or came along to cheer from the beach.

Different uniforms, same mission.🚨

Recently our Omaha Search and Rescue crew joined forces with Matakana Volunteer Fire Brigade for some joint training.

We're currently raising funds to send our local fire and surf rescue volunteers to a Calm Under Pressure™ workshop, helping our crews stay calm and perform at their best when it matters most. 💪
