Is there anyone who would like to feature in a promotional video for Auckland Council about the suburban bike trails in Beachlands /Maraetai including the Beachlands pump track. You we need to be comfortable riding and talking to the camera. I dont think you will be paid but it could be your first step to Hollywood stardom! If keen email us [email protected]

Just a reminder that Whitford Forest remains closed. The gates maybe open but it is not an invitation. This forest block has been closed for ~8 years to the public. It is private property so please stay out. Logging operations are picking up in there so trucks are zooming in and out. They will not be expecting the public to be in there.

Maraetai Forest is however open for your riding/walking/running fix. We have over 40 tracks in there to enjoy.

Word on the trail is that the pixies have been busy over the last few weeks... Shrapnel and Gold Rush have had a tidy up...

Massive thanks and sad farewells to Hunter Bint who is leaving us this week. Hunter has been a wonderful coach to the teens, a great rider and an incredible trail builder for one so young. Check out Tunnel Vision for his latest masterpiece. Hunter has accepted a full time trail builders job at Cristchurch Adventure Park and we wish him all the best for his future endeavours in the mountain biking industry

If you haven't noticed yet we have quite a few pigs damaging some tracks at the moment. Some of you lucky folk have even found them on runs and rides.

We occasionally have hunters in the forest to help us get on top of this. We are working on a sign to inform you when they are in the forest. You might spot their ute before you spot them.

And also a reminder to renew those memberships, anyone entering the forest needs to be a member.
