West Auckland Football Club Welcome to the official West Auckland Football Club page.

Formally known as Kelston West, West Auckland Football Club has been based at Brains Park in the heart of Kelston since 1966. throughout the years we have provided a place for the West Auckland community to come and play a great quality of football. We pride ourselves on being a place where the whole family can come and play the sport that we all love. We have teams consisting of players that are

5 years old, all the way up to our more experienced teams, some of which are pushing the big half a century! As well as this, we have a strong Girls and Ladies section, and believe in the development of all of our players through the Junior grades. In 2013 we welcomed Western Magpies Softball to our home, with both sports operating out of the Brains Park clubrooms.

A tough weekend for the Men's First team as they went down 0-5 to our close neighbours Oratia United who put on a clinical display at Brains Park. It was also defeat in our Men's Reserve fixture as they lost to Oratia Reserves 0-3.

Next up a trip to City FC for our third fixture against this opponent this season.

A huge thank you to Kelston Boys High School for welcoming our players and providing such valuable opportunities for development last week.

Our West Auckland AFC Under 14 Boys enjoyed taking on the Kelston Juniors, while our Under 17s had the privilege of playing against the Kelston Boys High School First XI.

These experiences are incredibly important for the growth of our young players, giving them the chance to challenge themselves, learn, and build connections within our local football community.

Thank you to the players, coaches, staff, and supporters who made these matches possible. We appreciate the opportunity and look forward to more opportunities to work together in the future.

A big thank you to Iqra School New Lynn for coming out tonight and playing a 7v7 game with us. ⚽️

It was great to get the players together for a competitive and enjoyable match. There was some excellent football on display, and Iqra have some very talented players in their squad, including a couple who are part of our club.

We’d definitely love to play them again in the future and continue building the relationship between our teams. Thanks again to all the players, coaches, and supporters who made the evening a success.

This weekend saw the Men First and Reserves team travel to Franklin and come away with nothing unfortunately. Both teams huffed and puffed but couldn't get the points over the line.

The boys are back at home this week as they host high-flying Oratia United.
