Wheelchair RugbyLeague New Zealand Wheelchair Rugby League New Zealand is promoting a new sport for both Men and Women of all abilities, with the aim of sending a team to the World Cup 2017.

I started playing Rugby League in 1952 at the age of 15, as a Winger, making the first Junior RL side to tour Australia. Due to injury, I was unable to play competitively, so I decided to become a Referee keeping involved with my love of the game. A few years later I was asked to grade all Auckland Referees which followed on to NZRLRA with the aim of getting our referees into the NRL. Training har

Having moved on, both Phil and I decided to start our venture on Wheelchair Rugby League NZ leading up to our dream of taking a team to the Rugby League World Cup in 2017. At this stage, we are looking for player's and teams to start playing League in all Town's and City' in New Zealand with the out look of getting a team together for the World Cup 2017
