Our new name, a new identity, and a new era.
The merger of Kiwi Tennis Auckland and Carter Tennis in 2023 marked the beginning of an exciting new era for tennis in New Zealand. Today, we are thrilled to announce the next step in this journey - our two brands have officially merged under a new name — The Game.
This merger combines two of New Zealand’s strongest tennis coaching providers, creating opportunities and pathways not previously possible for players of all levels.
Founded in 2013, Kiwi Tennis has specialised in grassroots tennis, delivering weekly sessions to hundreds of students across Auckland and inspiring a lifelong love of the game. Carter Tennis has built a reputation in performance coaching, working with athletes such as Erin Routliffe (WTA world #7 in doubles), multiple National Champions and the 2025 Girls NZ Secondary School Champions. We also lead the High-Performance Tennis Academy at St Kentigern College, alongside one of NZ's largest coaching programs at West End Lawn Tennis Club.
In February and March 2025 alone, our combined teams delivered over 2,500 coaching sessions to more than 1,000 students across some of New Zealand’s most prestigious clubs and schools, arguably the largest program in the country.
Together as The Game, we are proud to offer a full spectrum of tennis coaching — from grassroots participation to elite performance training — under one united vision.
Our vision is simple yet powerful: to build champions for life, and in life. We believe sport is a transformative tool that helps players grow into respectful, disciplined individuals. Through exceptional coaching and leadership, we not only develop strong athletes but also teach etiquette, sportsmanship, and resilience that extends far beyond the court.
We believe in education — in both sport and academics — and we support our players every step of the way, from preschool to university and onto the professional tour.
With this merger, clients can expect the same high-quality coaching and programs they know and trust, delivered under the exciting new banner of The Game. Our team remains dedicated to creating opportunities for every player, whether they are just starting out or competing at the highest level.
Behind the scenes we've been busy securing a couple of amazing new venues, and we're thrilled to introduce to the family Ngataringa Tennis Club in Devonport - a stunning club in a beautiful location with a view to rival that of both Orakei and West End! Taking over the reigns on 1 October, this club deepens our North Shore offering, complementing our program at Campbells Bay Tennis Club.
We're also immensely proud to welcome King's College to the family. From Term 1 2026 the team will be offering a year-round program, providing a much needed on-site training program to the school's elite athletes, and offering a pathway to all players.
We've done our best to ensure the transition is seamless, with our current websites redirecting to our new one. You might need to update saved pages, or book via different links, but the same faces are still there to help when you need. You'll see our new signs, our fantastic new uniform, some new email addresses!

Our Waikato division remains as Kiwi Tennis.
