I have done the forest loop today to check out the new return track from the green lake end. There is a new toilet and some picnic tables at the start of the new track. The track itself is more challenging than the old concrete cycle path next to the road. You ride on tracks with some uphill and downhill mostly in mature forest and some gravel forestry roads. Some areas still need bedding in. But overall the new track is a good alternative to get back to the hub.
