Fat Freddy for sale
I have decided to move on from the Formula 40 Trimaran. My health problems have led me to focus in other areas. My options are to sell the boat as is, offering project management support to complete the repairs, upgrades, and shipping options. If I can’t find a buyer, I will wreck it to sell as parts.
All the composite structural design work for the boat has been done, as well as a thorough ultrasound and tap of hulls and beams.
Replacement of the damaged ama area has been finished and is ready for paint and I have the carbon unis to finish the strengthening upgrade to the beam collars.
For a parts list and shipping options, please contact [email protected] or if you’d like to chat/text, my WhatsApp number is +64212265444.
If you are interested in the best sailing there is to offer, get a syndicate together and literally, enjoy the ride!!

🏁 Ho***rs might not be built for comfort, but she’s built for heart.

Craig Haslip’s Sele Open 8.5 and crew crossed the line in Russell on Saturday morning after nearly 25 hours at sea, leading a tight Division 7 contest in this year’s PIC Coastal Classic. The small cat spent the night edging through calm patches, holding her own among the fleet.

Fast, light, and purpose-built for racing, Ho***rs shows what the Coastal is all about — teamwork, resilience, and a love of the challenge.

2025 PIC Coastal Classic done and dusted! Well done Aventador for the overall Multihull handicap win, Cat+ion for the line and Ho***rs for Div 7 line and handicap!

What a night in Russell! The 2025 PIC Coastal Classic wrapped up last night in true Kiwi style with sunshine, good company, and a full tent for prizegiving. Congratulations to all our winners and to every crew who took part in this year’s race.

It was fantastic to see so many people come together to celebrate another successful Coastal. We’ll be posting full results and more photos soon.

In the meantime, we'd love it if you would send us your selfies and snapshots from the prizegiving. We can’t wait to see your moments from an unforgettable weekend.
