Pete, Pete and repeat.
Six year old Peter Buffalora who pulled on the blue and black jersey for the first time this year is carrying on a fine family tradition. Not just on the rugby field. The four generations preceding him are, and were, also named Peter. He has already been well drilled in the basics and can throw a decent spiral pass, a skill not common at his age.
His dad Peter played his first Premier game in 2012 and Grandfather Peter held a regular spot in the front row in the 90βs playing 111 times for our top side. This was no mean feat as Ponies in those days were blessed with the services of Olo Brown, Peter Fatialofa, Nick Mantell, Mike Turner, Andrew Tuala and more.
Young Pete looks to be heading for a career not involving the front row. We wish him well.
