🌏🚨 Exciting Times Ahead for Cook Islands Men's Cricket Team! 🚨🌏

We’re thrilled to announce that the Cook Islands Men's Cricket Team will be touring Japan for the first time ever! 🎉 The team will be competing in a three-team international series against Japan and Thailand at the Sano International Cricket Ground this May.

🗓️ Schedule Highlights:

May 7th: Cook Islands vs Thailand

May 9th: vs Thailand (am), vs Japan (pm)

May 10th: Cook Islands vs Japan

May 11th: Final (don’t miss it!)

May 13th & 14th: Cook Islands vs Japan in a 2-match series.

This tour marks a major milestone for our program, being the first non-ICC pathway tour organized directly by CICA, with support from 21South, Maritime Cook Islands, and Onu Sports. 🌟

This reflects the growth and development of Cook Islands Cricket, having achieved success with our women’s Bali tour earlier this year. Our new players—James Pickering, Cam Thorp, and Paani Vailoa—will be joining the squad, and Ma'ara Ave will once again lead the charge! 💪

This is more than just cricket; it's about embracing the challenge, growing together, and having fun along the way! 🇨🇰

Big thanks to our amazing sponsors and supporters. We hope the Japan Cricket Community shows their support, and don’t forget—all matches will be live streamed on the JCA YouTube channel! 🎥

Congratulations to Samoa Under 19 for winning the East Asia Pacific Qualifier T20 to gain entry to the U 19 T20 World Cup in 2027. And it gets better our Tia Fetu Mapu was player of the tournament, batter of the tournament scoring 103 runs in 3 innings including a stunning 63 not out including the tournaments only 2 six's versus Fiji. Samoa won all their matches with Indonesia, Fiji and PNG. Outstanding Tia. Photos sent us by Shelly Fruin, thanks Shelly.
