Why “more product” doesn’t always mean “more clean”

It’s easy to assume that an extra spray, sq**rt or splash of cleaning product must be doing more.

But too much product can leave residue behind, and that residue can attract more dust and grime or leave surfaces feeling sticky.

Did you know that this week it's World Water Week?

Water is so much a part of everyday life and at the moment, there's no shortage of it falling from our sky! It is easy to forget how valuable it is.

We drink it, cook with it, wash with it and use it to care for our homes. Yet many of us rarely stop to think about how much water goes into our everyday routines, or what we send back down the drain.

World Water Week is a useful reminder that small, practical choices matter.

We can turn off the tap while brushing our teeth. Run full loads in the dishwasher and washing machine. Fix dripping taps. Use only the water we need. And think carefully about the products we wash into our waterways.

Nobody has to do everything perfectly. But when a small change becomes a daily habit, it can make a meaningful difference over time.

A clean home is not the same as a perfectly tidy home.

There may still be shoes by the door... and with winter sports season here, you might have to accept this is a battle you won't win. That is real life.

Sometimes, cleaning is simply about making the space feel a little calmer. Wiping the bench. Clearing the table. Opening a window. Tackling the one job that has been bothering you all week.

You do not have to clean the whole house for it to count.

So this weekend, forget perfection. Choose one small thing that will make your home feel better.
