As we settle into winter, there's a natural invitation to slow down, reconnect with routine, and invest in the things that help us feel our best.

Pilates is called a practice for a reason. It's not something we master in a few classes or a quick challenge. The real benefits come through patience, consistency, and a commitment to showing up for yourself over time.

At Studio Three, we believe movement is a lifelong practice rather than something to simply tick off a to-do list. Every class is an opportunity to build awareness, refine movement patterns, strengthen the body, and reconnect with yourself.

Recipe of the month β˜†β˜† Tamsin's Winter Warmer Pumpkin & Lentil Soup

Serves 4–6

Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil + k**b of butter
2 onions, chopped
1 carrot, diced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tbsp grated ginger
1 tsp cumin
Β½ tsp each cinnamon & turmeric
¼–½ tsp cayenne pepper
400g tin crushed tomatoes
6 cups stock
1 tsp sea salt
1 cup red lentils
800g pumpkin, peeled and diced

To serve:
Sour cream
Ground cinnamon

Method:
Heat oil and butter in a large pot. Add onion, carrot, garlic, ginger and spices. Cook gently until soft.
Add tomatoes, stock, salt, lentils and pumpkin. Bring to the boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, or until pumpkin is tender.
Lightly mash some of the pumpkin to thicken the soup while keeping texture.
Serve with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Quick Vegetable Stock (optional)
Cook 1 chopped onion, leek, carrot, celery stalk, tomato, a few mushrooms and 2 garlic cloves in a little oil for 10 minutes. Add 2.5L water, 4 peppercorns, parsley stalks and a bay leaf. Simmer 2–3 hours, strain, and store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze.

Keen to come and have a play? Find out about our Studio Sessions - a new offering for clients wanting to take their Pilates practice further.

These small group sessions utilise the full Pilates apparatus, including the Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, Spine Corrector and Ladder Barrel, allowing for a more personalised and progressive approach to movement.

Designed to bridge the gap between group classes and private sessions, Studio Sessions are ideal for those wanting extra support with rehabilitation, building confidence, improving technique, or deepening their understanding of the Pilates method.

Sessions run for 60 minutes with a maximum of 5 clients, giving our comprehensively trained instructors the ability to offer more hands-on guidance, progressions, and individual modifications.

How to get started:
Before joining a Studio Session, clients must complete two private sessions:
β€’ Session one: assessment + goal setting
β€’ Session two: introduction to your personalised apparatus programme. We also have a new weekly Studio Apparatus Introduction Session on Monday evenings, which is another great way to start your journey into joining the Studio Sessions.

Introducing: Studio Sessions ✨

We’re excited to officially launch Studio Sessions β€” a new offering for clients wanting to take their Pilates practice further.

These small group sessions utilise the full Pilates apparatus, including the Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, Spine Corrector and Ladder Barrel, allowing for a more personalised and progressive approach to movement.

Designed to bridge the gap between group classes and private sessions, Studio Sessions are ideal for those wanting extra support with rehabilitation, building confidence, improving technique, or deepening their understanding of the Pilates method.
