Auckland Swords Club

Auckland Swords Club One of New Zealand's oldest fencing clubs, established 1935. Our season runs from February through to November.

The club meets at the Auckland Grammar School old gymnasium, off Mountain Road in Epsom, Auckland (New Zealand) on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7pm to 9:30pm. We run beginners classes for juniors, teenage beginners and adults. Tuesday night will have more advanced coaching for experienced foil fencers with adult beginners taking part in a simplified version of this course. There will also be

an experienced Epee group meeting on Tuesday nights. We can supply foils, masks and jackets for our beginners and there is a beginners coach to show you what to do. We have electric boxes and spools for more experienced fencers and run regular competition matches. If you are coming for the first time then you will need to wear suitable shoes for a wooden gym floor and tracksuit pants (not shorts).

You say NZ Cadet and Youth Champs, I hear Auckland Swords national domination 💪🏼 Can we get a digital round of applause for all the extremely talented and hardworking fencers who flew down to Christchurch over the weekend for an unforgettable experience 👏🏽👏🏽. Swords fencers standing atop every single Epee podium, across men’s and women’s, cadet and youth, individual and teams. Now that’s what I’m talking about 😝
