Delivered in partnership with Kāpiti Coast District Council , this community playground was designed to bring together the existing play areas into one cohesive space for local tamariki and whānau.

The playground provides a variety of play opportunities for children of different ages and abilities, including swings, an inclusive basket swing, climbing challenges and sliding activities.

Designed to withstand the demands of its coastal location, the playspace creates a durable and welcoming destination for the community to enjoy for years to come.

Panmure District School wanted to transform an unused grass area and ageing playgrounds into one large play space where tamariki could learn, grow and challenge themselves through play.

Working alongside the school, we developed a custom playground that provides a mix of climbing, balancing, sliding and social play opportunities for both junior and senior students.

One of the standout features of the project is the Playtop NZ custom safety surfacing, incorporating koru patterns inspired by the school's logo and uniform colours. The school's RISE values have also been woven into the design, helping create a space that reflects the identity and culture of the school.

The result is a durable, engaging playground that provides plenty of opportunities for students to build confidence, develop skills and connect through play.

Great to see these upgraded community playgrounds now open across Tauranga South and Pyes Pā 🎉

Having contributed to two of these new playgrounds alongside the wider project teams, it's awesome to see these spaces already being enjoyed by local whānau and tamariki.
