Keith and Ketina are in Hirosaki, Japan 🇯🇵 getting ready to line up for the IAU 24hr Asia-Oceania Championships representing New Zealand 🇳🇿

The 24-hour race starts at 3pm Auckland time today (Sat 24 May).

Great to see them alongside the rest of Team NZ ahead of the start.

☀️ XC season opener at the Southland Centennial Relays: 57 Owai athletes out racing in the sunshine!

Highlights -

🥈 U16 Girls 37:00 – Grace Vashi, Lillia Kluts, Clara Kingston, Jessebelle Ng
🥇 Senior Men won the handicap in 28:58 – Ben Anderson, Jack Sanders, Simoen Baeyens, Sam Ge**er
🥈 Masters Men 28:11 – Owen Mitchell, Nick Pannett, Nick Moore, Simon Mace
Strong runs too from our U16 Boys, Senior Women, U20 Women, U20 Men, Social, Masters Women and our second Masters Men’s team.

⛰️ In Wellington, Ben Evans won the National M50 Mountain Running title at the NZ Mountain Running Champs, running 44:49 on the medium course and finishing 2nd overall / 1st M50 🥇

🥈 Ben Lui was recognised as 2nd overall 13yo boy at the Athletics Auckland Junior Track & Field prizegiving.

🇺🇸 In Boston, congrats to Dan Coates on 2:44:54, going sub-2:45 with a negative split.
