A huge congratulations to club members India-Rose Scholes, Isabella Lambie and Zoe Knight who have been named in the Water Polo New Zealand U18 Women's Team to attend the World Aquatics Women's U18 World Championships in Spain later this year.

This is a fantastic achievement and we look forward to supporting you later in the year!

Congratulations to club member Bella Knight who has been selected into the inaugural Australian Country Representative Team to participate in the Asia-Pacific 23&U Water Polo Tournament in Brisbane in September.

Bella is currently studying at Bond University, and this is a selection of the top country representative players from all around Australia.

A great achievement and we wish you all the best for the tournament.

A massive final day for our teams at the Mountfort Park Water Polo King's Birthday Water Polo Tournament!

Our Hounds had a stellar tournament, making it all the way through the A Grade final, in a tight battle against Marist Sharks, they went down 2-4 to claim the silver medal 🥈 in the A Grade. A huge effort from the team! A big thank you to coach Nick and manager Jay for all their work this tournament.

Our Packers fought hard in the B grade, coming away with a bronze medal 🥉after beating Mountfort Matau 3-1 in a close affair. Well done to the team for a superb result. Thank you to coach Ted and manager JR for their work this weekend.

Our Cubs put in a fantastic effort, gaining 5th equal place in the B grade! We are very proud of this effort, especially in the B grade and thank you to coach Laura and manager Marisa for their work over the weekend.

Well done to all our coaches, including our supervising coach Callum for his help across all the teams this weekend.

A massive thank you to our u12 co-ordinator Ian Craig who seamlessly made it all work this weekend, a big job juggling so many teams, we are hugely grateful for your help this weekend! He is also the man behind the camera with the great shots, check out .stills on Instagram.

Finally, thank you so much to Mountfort Park Water Polo for putting on another great tournament. We appreciate the huge amount of work and effort that goes in to this tournament to make it all happen.

We are excited for our next tournament which is the Rowan Brown U12 Jelly Belly Tournament held by North Harbour Water Polo Club from 10-12th July!

Our C Grade/Newbies teams have had a blast at the Mountfort Park Water Polo over the long weekend.

Our Pups team finished in 5th place overall in the C grade, putting together some excellent team work and showing huge improvement throughout the tournament. A big thank you to coaches Louise and manager Luke for all their help over the weekend.

Our Wolverines team battled hard throughout the tournament, putting in a great effort and never giving up! They managed to place 13th overall, working hard and gaining vital development throughout the tournament. A massive thank you to coach Joaquin and manager Kirsty-Anne for all their help this weekend.

Our Howlers rallied hard every game in the Newbies grade, pushing themselves, each other and having fun. It was a big effort from the team, and we are super proud of how well they performed this tournament. We are grateful for coach Sophie and manager George supporting and guiding the team this weekend.

Thank you to our great team of parents and alongside the awesome Ian Craig who helped make this weekend happen for our teams!

The A/B grade teams continue their tournament today, with several teams placed well to push for medals later today!

Our teams are having a blast at the Mountfort Park Water Polo U12 Tournament this long weekend.

The C grade teams are entering their final day of competition with plenty to play for, showing off some great water polo and having lots of fun.

The A/B grade teams have got their first day of competition underway and will begin to prep for the crossover matches later today and into tomorrow.

Our Men's National League team are back in Suzuki NZ Water Polo New Zealand National League action today as they take on North Harbour Water Polo Club at 5:00pm at St Cuthbert's College.

AWP Referee Development

Wanting to become a water polo referee? No better place than to start right here! On Saturday and Sunday 6-7 June, AWP will be running a Local Referee-Grade workshop with the help from Olympic Referee John Waldow. This workshop is ideally suited for those who do not have prior refereeing experience or need to do their annual upkeep to retain their Local Referee-Grade status.

SEA WOLF ATHLETES NEW ZEALAND U16 SELECTIONS.

A massive congratulations to the 6 Sea Wolf athletes named in the Water Polo New Zealand Under 16 World Championship Teams.

Amelia Lafaialli, Emily Rope, Jess Yeoman, Angelina Yang and recently joined India Nathan (Marlborough Water Polo Club) have all been selected in the U16 Women's Team to participate in the World Aquatics Women's U16 Water Polo Championships from July 25-31st in Zagreb, Croatia.

Oliver McGuiness has been been selected in the U16 Men's Team to participate in the World Aquatics Women's U16 Water Polo Championships from 3rd-9th August in Zagreb, Croatia.

Olivia Lambie (women's) and Dylan Tukia (men's) have also been named as non-travelling reserves.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play on a global stage and we are incredibly proud of our athletes, we wish them all the best for this exciting opportunity.
