CELEBRATIONS THIS WEEKEND IN CHRISTCHURCH
Team Kiwi Racing are proud to play a special part of the many firsts that will be celebrated at Ruapuna Raceway this weekend in Christchurch at the ITM Christchurch Super 440.

This weekend Team Kiwi Racing are excited to be joining in the celebrations of the first time ever that the South Island will host a Supercar Championship round at Ruapuna Raceway as part of New Zealand’s historic Supercars ITM NZ Double Header.

Ruapuna Raceway is also Jason Richards original home track where he made his first ever track racing debut. See image of JR and the Mini attached.

Team Kiwi Racing also have the Original TKR V8 Supercar that Jason drove on debut with TKR at Bathurst Mount Panorama to kick start his international motorsport career in the Australian V8 Supercar Championship.

This special piece of Kiwi motorsport history has recently undergone a 12 month rebuild in memory of Jason and will be proudly on display for the public to come and see firsthand at the TKR Merchandise/Display Site featured on the attached map close to Gate B.

All of the above makes WINNING the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy this weekend that much more special with Ruapuna being Jason's home circuit where he started his motor racing career and the very car that Jason raced on debut to kick stated his career in the Australian V8 Supercars Championship proudly featuring as part of the celebrations here in Christchurch this weekend.

Come see the iconic TKR/Jason Richards All Black Machine on site at the Team Kiwi Racing Merchandise/Display Site highlighted on the map attached close to Gate B.

Team Kiwi Racing make a dash for the Interisland ferry tonight to ensure the TKR All Black Machine is in Chch for the Christchurch ITM Super 440 after the Sunday races at the Taupo ITM Super 440 were cancelled today due to the Taupo District being put into a state of emergency today due to Cyclone Vaianu. Travel safe all. See you in Christchurch everyone. Fingers crossed.
