A new four-year chapter for SSANZ and DOYLE SAILS 🌊⛵

We’re proud to announce a major four-year partnership with Doyle Sails, supporting some of New Zealand’s premier short-handed offshore racing events and building a clear pathway towards the return of the Round New Zealand race in 2030.

From the Doyle Sails Longhaul Division of the Triple Series, through the Doyle Sails Northern Triangle in 2028 and the Doyle Sails Round North Island in 2029, this partnership gives sailors meaningful milestones to build experience, develop their skills and take on bigger challenges.

For SSANZ, long-term support provides the certainty to plan ahead, invest in the competitor experience and continue growing offshore racing in New Zealand.

Doyle Sails has been part of New Zealand’s sailing story for generations, and we’re incredibly proud to have them alongside us for the next four years.

🌊 Lewmar Triple Series standings are heating up after Race 2.

Race 2 threw everything at the fleet, with strong winds and testing conditions. Those who braved the elements have been rewarded with valuable series points.

With one race remaining, the leaderboard is beginning to take shape, but in several divisions it's still anyone's series to win.

Hear from Harri Wren, Damon Jolliffe and Ben Roff about what it takes to get a yacht round the North Island two handed, the ins-and-outs of mastering shorthanded sailing, and how to get involved with the fleet.

You’ll hear all the stories including the gnarly stuff, and the sunshine and rainbow moments.

It was wet, wild, and windy, with only a third of the fleet braving the elements for our amended courses.

The forecast proved spot on, thanks to PredictWind, with some boats recording gusts of over 40 knots. Congratulations to everyone who took on the challenge, gave it their best, and especially to those who crossed the finish line—an outstanding achievement in some seriously tough conditions.

With Race 2 now complete, there's just one race left in the Lewmar Triple Series. We can't wait to see you all back on the start line on 5 September as we finish the series with a bang!
