Shaolin Kempo Herne Bay

Shaolin Kempo is a fun and energetic Martial Art in which children are taught skills that will last a lifetime.These include:
► the ability to focus and concentrate on specific tasks;
► responsibility, punctuality, and courtesy; and
► respect for self, fellow students and instructors. Students learn self-defence techniques through the ancient art of Chinese Gung-fu. Shaolin Kempo training helps to

increase students’ confidence in their own abilities and potential. As a parent, you will see your child grow and develop in our school as they work hard to progress through the ranks. The Introductory Course is a specialised course designed to teach your child the fundamentals of Chinese Shaolin Gung-fu. They will be guided through the course by an experienced and fully-qualified Martial Arts Instructor who will teach them some of the ancient Shaolin philosophies of self-defence, self-discipline, and self-respect. The techniques learnt will equip them for the training in the main class. Shaolin Kempo Herne Bay is a branch of Robert Gemmell Martial Arts and the Shaolin Chuan-Fa Association of NZ. We are New Zealand’s longest standing Martial Arts organisation, first established in 1958. The Herne Bay branch is run by Senior Master Umesh Daya who is a 7th Degree Black Belt with 27 years’ experience.
