We try hard not to cancel club nights, but sometimes the weather makes the call for us. If we do need to cancel, we'll post on our page between 4pm and 5pm on the day. So if it's looking wet, check our page before you head out!

New season, new adventures! 🏃‍♀️🤸

Track and field is one of the easiest sports for kids to just start. No experience needed, no pressure to be the fastest, just a fun, friendly place to run, jump, throw and make new mates.

Roskill South is hosting free volunteer training, Tuesday 6th October from 4:30pm. Its ideal for teens wanting to get into coaching and parents who want to learn the basic rules of athletics and how the events run.

The session will be run by Neil the Athletics Auckland Development Manger and includes plenty of opportunities to ask questions, plus a walk around the track to look at each event.

The course is free and a lite snack will be provided. Message us for more info/interest.

FAQ: What competitions are there through the season?

Plenty, and they're not all serious. The GO! Series is weekly developmental meets for grades 7 to 14 to practise sprints, jumps and throws. Junior Festival and Ribbon Days are low-pressure introductory meets for younger athletes to chase ribbons and personal bests. And for those wanting more, there's the Junior Pentathlon Championships, the Auckland Junior Athletics Championships at venues like Mt Smart Stadium, and the Colgate Games.
