In collaboration with and , the 3 New Zealand Universities have created history with New Zealand's first-ever Tertiary Grappling Game held in Christchurch last month and hosted by Canterbury University.

It was a good time for everyone involved. Super impressed with the talents and sportsmanship in Christchurch. We wasn't able to bring home the trophy this year but we all left with an awesome experience and got to meet awesome people from the other university clubs.

Thank you Canterbury University BJJ for your hospitality and we will see y'all in Auckland for New Zealand Tertiary Grappling Game 2025.

NEW ZEALAND TERTIARY GRAPPLING GAMES!

This is a call out for grapplers in New Zealand! We're on the lookout to form our competitive teams! If you are a student or alumni of University of Auckland, Massey University, or Canterbury Uni and you want to participate, reach out to their Instagrams!

Held in Christchurch 24th August, the Inaugral Grappling Games consists of three events across multiple divisions this is sure to be an exciting experience and a milestone in New Zealand grappling. Keep your eyes peeled for more information in the months leading up to the event!
