Sunnyside Tennis Club The Sunnyside Tennis Club is set in the beautiful Sunnyside Reserve. The Club serves the community The Club caters for all ages from 4 years old upwards.

The Sunnyside Tennis Club is located in the Sunnyside Reserve off York Road in Papatoetoe and serves the community of Papatoetoe by offering a great place to play tennis. The Club is affordable, family-friendly and is run by people passionate about the Club and their tennis. We have a fantastic junior programme that caters for both beginners through to advanced players. We also run Hotshots tennis

. Membership fees (Sept- Aug):

Senior Social $140 (Key included)
Senior Interclub $230
Midweek ladies $190
Junior beginner $100
Junior advanced $100
Junior interclub $140

Social play for seniors:

Tuesdays 5 pm - 7.30 pm
Wednesdays 9.30 am - 12 noon
Sundays 10 am - 12 noon

Junior coaching sessions starting Term 3 of school

Saturdays
9 am - 11 am

Last time I talked about communicating. This post is about commitment.
The final of the Australian open was a commitment to watch but the commitment from the to finalists was
Unwavering simply amazing -absolute committment to win !
What about our commitment to the game of tennis we play , whether in singles or doubles to get the ball back over the net, first committment .
AND Remember the Shot is never over until the ball has bounced twice.
Commit to win of course but always remember the committment to enjoy the game at every level.

Welcome to 2025.
Let's talk about communicating.
Communication, like tennis is returning the ball to continue.
Back and forth with little effort - sometimes it's over our heads other time simply beneath us. We can reply hard or soft move quickly other times stand our ground.
Learn to accept hitting the net when getting off on the wrong foot and likewise remember the boundary lines. Like tennis we learn to give snd recieve thats life.
I would like to say that at Sunnyside we share as a family happy to give and take and encourage new members to come along and enjoy the comradery . Come along and talk to us....

Sunnyside tennis club began in 1955
Then named Puhinui tennis club.
1961 became Sunnyside tennis club.
Next year will be the 75th anniversary
We look forward to lots of fun, party and great time through 2025.
