WOMEN’S FIRST TEAM | HOME WIN 💚⚽

A great night back in league action for our Women’s First Team, taking a well‑earned 1–0 win over East Coast Bays FC.

It was a tight, competitive match with plenty of chances — and on another day we could easily have had a couple more in the net. What made the difference was another strong defensive performance, with the whole back line and midfield working hard to shut down pressure and protect the lead.

A solid team effort, three points at home, and momentum building nicely.

Well done, team.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: THUNDER!

Congratulations to our first-ever Team of the Week winners, the 8th Grade Thunder!

On a soggy Saturday morning, Thunder showed fantastic resilience and sportsmanship. With players battling injuries—including one playing with a broken finger and another who later ended up in a moonboot—they still managed to win all three games for the first time this season.

The Fun Football team also happily volunteered players to help balance numbers when needed and never let the conditions dampen their spirits.

Well done to Callum, Cayson, Hunter, Jack, Jay, Leo, Liam and Myka, who each receive a kids' pizza and drink voucher from The Malt.

A big thank you to The Malt Greenhithe for supporting this initiative, and don't forget to send in your Team of the Week nominations each Sunday!

The Women were on the road this week in the Carol Waller Cup, travelling up to Tikipunga FC.
The cup run continues with another strong performance and a well‑earned win away from home.

A huge effort across the whole squad — disciplined at the back to secure a clean sheet, composed in possession, and clinical when it mattered.

The belief in this group keeps growing every week.

To mark King's Birthday there are no games for First Kicks, Fun Footballers, Juniors or Youth. Enjoy the chance to head away... or just have a sleep in!

⚽️ It will be another busy morning at Wainoni Park tomorrow!

🕗 8am: First Kicks games
⚽️ 8.45am: Our 10 Fun Football teams kick off in-house week
🔥 10am: 10th grade Ninjas and Samurai, 11th grade Jets and Phantoms, 12th grade Stormers
💣 11am: 10th grade Wildcats, 11th grade Grenades, 14th grade Legends
🛡️12pm: 14th grade Knights
🪓1pm: 17th grade Vikings
🥇3pm: Senior Men Touch Wood and Gold

🌭 We also have our wonderful team from Tauhinu Sea Scout Group manning the fundraising sausage sizzle, plus we’ll be selling drinks, snacks and club clothing from the Club Pavilion.

🧥 Get set for winter with our discounted club jackets — just $40 for kids and $50 for adults. Stocks are limited!

Last Sunday saw our Women's first team take to the field again at home against Northern Rovers Reserves. It was a very good game with quality football on display. Our girls dug deep and came away with the win, 3 points well earned. Keep up the great work, we are proud of you all. Away game this week.
