A further update in regards to the short-term operating hours at Unitec Sports Centre.
Due to a number of staff unable to attend work, our operating hours on 24/2/22 and 25/2/22 will be 1:00-9:00 p.m., and 1:00-8:30 p.m., respectively. Furthermore, due to the Omicron outbreak and the current strain Unitec’s health and safety team is under with contact tracing, we received direction from Unitec’s director of infrastructure to close Unitec Sports Centre completely for two weeks (26/2/22 – 12/3/22), at which point the situation will be reassessed. We understand this will be very disappointing for many of you. Our preferred option was to operate with shortened hours; however, ultimately the infrastructure team determined that we need to close for the next two weeks. Please note- all memberships will be suspended from 26/2/22 – 12/3/22.
