Bones' birthday, adventures with friends, Indi’s first book day, family time & lots of slow winter moments.

July was a slower one after a big few months.

Celebrating Bones, making memories with good friends, little adventures, family time & watching the girls grow into their own little people.

Indi had her first book day, which somehow felt like such a big milestone & there was plenty of ordinary, everyday magic in between.

A month of good people, cold mornings, full hearts & lots to be grateful for ♡

Opening my yoga studio, turning 40, time with friends, family, recovery 🧡

June was a big one.

After months of dreaming, building and preparing, the studio finally opened its doors. A little dream that had slowly been taking shape in our front garden became a real place, filled with people, movement & connection.

At home, Bones had surgery to remove a tumour from his spine & spent much of the month recovering. It was a season of slowing down, supporting each other & taking things one day at a time.

Supporting my own nervous system became a priority too ~ less doing, more breathing, walking, resting & being present.

A month of big milestones, big feelings & a gentle reminder that sometimes the most important thing is simply to slow down & be where your feet are ♡

Playing a bit of catch up for my future self to look back on 🤍

May was full of celebrations ~ Indi turned 4, we set a date to open the studio on June 1st and it all started to feel very real.

Plus a beautiful weekend away celebrating our beautiful tez_staples turning 40. A weekend we’ll always hold close. We miss you every day, Tez 🤍

Slow mornings, family time, lots of time at home, special memories with the girls & watching the studio slowly come to life. Somewhere in amongst it all we learnt how to lay flooring.

A month of big milestones, little moments & that feeling that something new was just around the corner.

The end of a beautiful chapter 🌺🌴

baligarden_matakana has seen so many versions of me, & I’m endlessly grateful to Sophie Carew for creating such a beautiful space & for the vision and values she holds so strongly.

It’s more than a studio. It’s a community of genuinely wonderful people & I feel incredibly lucky that it’s been such a big part of my journey.

My weekly classes here will be coming to an end in just a few weeks & I have very mixed feelings about it. I’m excited for what’s next, but saying goodbye to my Saturday mornings at Bali Garden is definitely going to be emotional. The final few classes will be as heartfelt as ever - I just might cry a little more than usual!

I’d love to see you on the mat before I hand my Saturday morning over to the gorgeous Amy Beardsley 🤍

I’ll still be part of the teaching crew, covering where I can & I’ll be popping up for events and some other classes in a slightly different capacity.

So, for now, THANK YOU, thank you, thank you Bali Garden. For the space, the people, the lessons & all the versions of me that have grown here 🌴

I posted on my community FB page this afternoon & thought I should thank & update everyone here too...

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported my little yoga studio in its first month. It’s been so lovely welcoming so many of you through the doors and seeing you leave feeling a little more grounded and a little stronger.

The current timetable for the next few weeks is the same as its been since opening. I'll be making a few tweaks next month as I settle into a rhythm, so if there are any classes or times you'd love to see, I'd really appreciate your feedback.

I'm also slowly opening the doors to my herbal dispensary and am now taking on a few more naturopathy and medical herbalism clients. If you've been thinking about some extra support for your health, I'd love to hear from you.
