Titirangi Badminton Club Your friendly neighbourhood badminton club! Welcome to Titirangi Badminton Club! Suitable for players of all grades, from beginner through to competitive.

Senior (anyone who has attained the age of 15 by December 31st of the current calendar year) club nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Come along and join us, no experience necessary. Another busy week for Titirangi Badminton Club! πŸΈπŸ’š

There’s plenty happening on court this week:

β€’ Shield Games for our Club members on Tuesday and Thursday nights
β€’ Badminton coaching on Saturday
β€’ Regular juniors players training on Sunday

And this weekend, some of our members will also represent Waitakere at the Badminton NZ 2026 Inter-Association Seniors and Super Vets competitions β€” player names out in a separate post! πŸ’™πŸ’›

From club competitions and coaching to supporting our junior players and division players, it’s another great week of badminton at TBC.

Waikato Badminton is hosting a ladies only Atlanta Jamboree, from the 11th until the 17th of October:

An adult women only, Australian/NZ tournament, hosted for over 40 years.
A team event that runs from the 12th of October until the 17th October (each team has 5-7 ladies) and an individual’s event which runs on the 11th of October, which includes a doubles pair from some of the teams if they wish.

4 grades (ABCD)

Hosted at Waikato badminton (Eastlink Badminton Stadium, 60 Old Farm Road, East Hamilton) There is an optional social event on the Saturday evening.

TBC Players in Action! 🏸

A huge congratulations to our Club players representing Waitakere, who were crowned Overall Champions – Masters Division 3 at the recently concluded Badminton New Zealand North Island Inter-Association Competition 2026 (Masters Category)!

We’re incredibly proud to see our players on the inter-association stage.

What an incredible weekend for our Juniors at the New Zealand Junior Team Championships!

Although the teams represented Waitākere, we're especially proud that these young athletes are part of our Titirangi family.

This success didn't happen overnight. The vision of taking a team to the New Zealand Junior Team Championships (NZJTC) began over 12 months ago with the launch of the Junior Development Programme. Since then, Coach Danny and Coach Janaka have worked tirelessly to develop our young players and create a pathway to representative badminton.

In April this year, two teams were selectedβ€”an Under 13 and an Under 15 squad. Over the following 10 weeks, they trained hard, challenged themselves, and grew together as a team in preparation for their very first NZJTC.

Their dedication paid off in the best possible way:

πŸ₯‡ Under 13 – Gold Medalists
πŸ₯‡ Under 15 – Gold Medalists

and remarkably, neither team lost a single tie throughout the tournament.

To have both teams win gold at their first national team competition is an outstanding achievement and a testament to the commitment of the players, the guidance of Coach Danny and Coach Janaka, and the unwavering support of their families.

We'd also like to thank our Titirangi Badminton Club community. Thanks to the proceeds from our recent silent auction, the club was able to provide financial support to help these teams attend the championships. Every bid helped make this opportunity possible.

Congratulations to all of our players, coaches, parents, and supporters. We are incredibly proud of what you've achieved and can't wait to see what comes next for these talented young athletes! πŸ’™πŸΈ
