Hi team,

Operation Rendez-Vous has been rescheduled to Saturday, 17 October. We've moved the event outside the school holiday period to give more players the opportunity to attend.

We hope this new date works better for everyone and look forward to seeing you on the field.

What a great day on the field!

We welcomed plenty of new players, each paired with an experienced teammate to help guide them through their first steps into the discipline. New players benefit from a model to emulate and personalised advice, while veterans get the chance to develop and sharpen their leadership skills—a win-win for everyone involved.

Ai***ft is a recreational and sporting activity based around scenarios and objectives, where participants use ai***ft replicas that shoot small biodegradable BBs. There are different styles of play designed for different audiences. Military Simulation (MilSim) focuses on teamwork, communication, planning, and the adaptation of military tactics to a safe and sporting environment. In addition to providing a dynamic and strategic challenge, it encourages outdoor physical activity, problem-solving under pressure, and the development of leadership and cooperation skills.

MAD CAPYBARAS presents its Second Introduction to Military Simulation (MilSim) Training Day, an event designed for those who would like to discover this style of gameplay, as well as for players experienced in other forms of ai***ft who want to learn the fundamentals of MilSim.

Throughout the day, participants will learn the basics of team organization, communications, tactical movement, safety procedures, patrolling techniques, reactions to enemy contact, and player coordination. A PDF guide will be provided, and all topics will be explained and practiced progressively before being applied in exercises and scenarios tailored to the participants' skill levels.

Date: Saturday, 12 September 2026
Location: Greenhithe, Auckland
Time: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

This event is open to participants aged 18 and over, with or without previous ai***ft experience.

Costs:
• Field fee: $30
• Ai***ft replica rental: $30

Rental includes an ai***ft replica, eye protection, and sufficient am******on for the day.

No personal equipment is required. Participants who own their own ai***ft replica may use it provided its muzzle energy does not exceed 1.8 joules.

If you are interested in learning a style of ai***ft focused on cooperation, team discipline, communication, and immersion in tactical scenarios, this is an excellent opportunity to take your first steps into MilSim.
