Registrations are now open for the 2026/27 summer athletics season at Pakuranga Athletic Club!

Athletics is all about having a go, building confidence, learning new skills and having fun, whatever your ability or experience.

New athletes in any age group are very welcome – you don’t need to have done athletics before. Tiny Tots, Juniors, Youth, Seniors and Masters athletes are all welcome.

Our Tiny Tots programme is back for summer – and it’s all about having fun, being active, learning new skills and making new friends.

Huge congratulations to club member Hilary Weeks who set a new New Zealand W90-94 shotput record at the Athletics New Zealand Masters Indoor Games in Hastings earlier in the month. What a fantastic result - and what an inspiration you are Hilary! We love seeing you rocking that Pakuranga singlet! Athletics is truly a lifelong sport!

RUN, RUGBY, FOOD & GOOD COMPANY — WHAT BETTER WAY TO SPEND A SATURDAY?

Come down to the club today from a 2.30 pm run, then stick around as we cheer on the Black Ferns against Australia at 3pm on the big screen! 🖤

The bar and kitchen will be open, so grab some food, enjoy a drink and settle in for the afternoon.

Everyone is welcome. Bring the family, bring some friends and come and enjoy a great afternoon at the club.

We can't wait to see all our juniors back on the first club night for 2026/27 - on Wednesday 14th of October.

🏃‍♀️ Is your child running in the HPPA Schools Cross Country on Tuesday? 🏃‍♂️

Why not give the course a practice run first?

Join us this Saturday, 8 August, and build confidence by running the actual course before race day. It's a fun, relaxed afternoon and everyone is welcome – whether you're a Pakuranga Athletic Club member or not!

📍 Where: Pakuranga Athletic Club Clubrooms (36-38 Cascades Road, Pakuranga)
🕑 Registration: From 2.00 pm
🏃 Practice runs: From 2.30 pm (in age groups)

After your run, stick around and enjoy the atmosphere!

Caleb Wagener (U20) celebrated another victory at Nationals in Christchurch yesterday after an exciting finish, holding off a late-race battle that saw four runners trading surges right to the end. It was very exciting to watch unfold on the livestream!

Can't wait to watch club member Ethan Olivier in the final of the triple jump at the Commonwealth Games this evening - 9:10 pm start. Go hard Ethan, we'll be cheering for you!

Ethan Olivier is through to the triple jump final at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games!

Jumping out to 16.11m in windy conditions to secure his start in the final.

It was a competition where no jumpers cleared the automatic qualification mark of 16.60m, meaning all qualifiers came from the top 12 ranked performances.
