Repair work will be taking place at the track over the next month. This will include:
* Flushing out the drain that runs around the inside of the track (we're looking forward to not having to do this by hand!)
* Repairing damage to the drain and replacing the missing covers
* Installing a mowing strip alongside the drain
* Renewing the long jump pits.

Weather-permitting, work will start on Monday 15th of June. Expected completion date is the 10th of July.

The track will still be available for use during this time but access to the inner lanes will be reduced, work areas around the drains will be fenced off and the long jump pits will be closed.

To keep everyone safe, we ask that everyone follow all signs at the track and instructions from contractors, and stay away from fenced off areas please.

Huge congratulations to club member Theo Quax. We are so thrilled and proud to hear this news. Let's go!

🇳🇿 Announcing the strongest team we've ever sent to the World Road Running Championships!

The Quax name returns to the black singlet. Theo Quax, son of NZ running legend Dick Quax, has been selected for the Road 5km in Copenhagen. Fifty years after his dad won Olympic silver over 5000m, Theo gets his shot on the world stage.

"It's an honour to don the black singlet for the first time." Quax said on his selection.

Five junior teams took to the Lynndale Relays on Saturday, enjoying the course around Olympic Park. Pakuranga Cheetahs (Riley McKay, Mila Henison, Kayno Kaitao, Wolfgang Brunt) put in a fantastic run, picking up 1st place as a Mixed team and 3rd overall. Special thanks to Mila Henison who ran in two teams.

Well done for the great team efforts and to your parents/carers for making the journey.

Pakuranga Athletic Club is very proud to again be supporting Dame Valerie Adams' 'Jammies for June' fundraiser.

We would love all families in the club who are in a position to do so to donate one pair of new children's jammies - the warmer the better! These can be dropped into the collection laundry basket in the clubrooms.

To thank you for being so awesome, for every pair of jammies donated, you go into the draw for our fantastic "Good Night" prize hamper, which includes everything you need for a relaxing evening and a great night's sleep.
