Kensenshikan Karate Promoting Karate, fitness and self defense in Auckland. Our Karate lessons are available for Children and Adults and cater for a variety of training levels.

We focus on fitness, self defense and confidence. Our aim is to provide a truly genuine Martial Mondays (Devonport Primary School Hall)
> 4.15pm - 5.00pm: Kids Beginners Karate
> 5.00pm - 5.50pm: Kids Karate (Yellow and Orange)
> 6.00pm - 7.30pm: Adults Karate (All Grades)
> 7.30pm - 8.00pm: Adults Karate (Black Belt)
Tuesdays (Forrest Hill Primary School Hall)
> 6.00pm - 7.00pm: Beginne

Huge congratulations to our Kensenshikan NZ competitors at the 21st World Koshiki Full Contact Karate Championships over the weekend at Brisbane. The NZ team did really well with some medal rankings!
Our team results at the world championships-

1st place Jasper Shearer 16/17 years Female Kumite 🥇 World Champion!
3rd place Dylan Shearer Senior Lightweight Male Kumite 🥉

4th place Luke Yin Kata
4th place Jasper Shearer Kata
5th place Luke Yin Kumite
5th Place Shami Shearer Senior Female Kata
6th Place Shami Shearer Veteran Kata Mixed (1st place for Female!)

Had an old student of mine, Jens, come in and do some amazing kata demonstrations for us. He leaves to Venice in October to compete in the Junior World Karate Championships. Jens is now a sports kata karate athlete and is at the very top of his game.
