We’re a charitable trust dedicated to spreading the love of blues dance. Black Sand Blues was establised in 2018 by a group of dedicated volunteers who wanted to provide more opportunities for blues dance education in Auckland. We aim to provide regular classes and social events to inspire Auckland’s community of blues dancers. Our name is inspired by the beautiful black sand beaches of Auckland’s

west coast, because it was while dancing at Whatipu that the idea for Black Sand Blues first formed.

💙 Wed 11th & 25th: social - Swing Spring Social at Te Rimutahi, outdoor dancing, cnr Ponsonby Rd & O'Neill St

FREE This space is not bookable, so come early to help secure our spot. We'll have swing and blues music for dancing and hanging out. Be considerate to the public as this is an open space

🚨 Attention blues dancers! School is still out for summer!

Auckland Blues Dance have extended our summer holidays, and there will be no blues dance classes until further notice! 🌞

But there will still be plenty of opportunities to let the good times roll- just keep an eye our socials, we're still moving and grooving 😎

Monthly dance events are up on our Instagram, Linktree, and Facebook- so put those dates in your diary ✨️
