A stunning Sunday afternoon, a great turnout of volunteers, Shaun on the BBQ and Kathy on the tunes, welcomed our attendees for the first of two have-a-go days. Thank you to all those who helped out. It was a valuable contribution to showcase what bowls is about and what GBC has to offer.
Congratulations to our interclub 8's team who battled hard on Saturday to come away with 2 wins and a loss to sit in third place in their pool. The second round is scheduled for Saturday 31 October.
A shout out to our grounds and gardens crew led by Peter Andreson, for their recent endeavours in converting hard to maintain areas of grass into cobblestones. This, along with their recent attack on the overgrown hedge on B green is invaluable in keeping our special place looking at its best.
It's a relatively quiet week leading up to Labour weekend. A reminder of our 2nd have-a-go day scheduled for Sunday 1st November and the commencement of our Edmund Hillary Neighbourhood Bowls Series on Monday 2nd November.
