Congratulations to Lapa Halagahu from South Island Leegar.
After coming up just short in the last King in the Ring, Lapa showed incredible heart by fighting through injuries and never giving up. That determination has now earned him a huge opportunity.
Lapa has officially secured a contract to compete at Australia’s biggest K-1 event in Melbourne on 31 October 2026.
He will be one of four New Zealand fighters going head-to-head against four of Australia’s best 90kg competitors in what promises to be an unforgettable international showdown.
This is a massive achievement and a testament to Lapa’s hard work, resilience, and fighting spirit.
Titles are earned, never given.
