Hola! I am originally from Peru and run cacao cer

emonies every month at Begin Wellness (Newmarket, Auckland). My relationship with cacao was passed down to me from my mother’s lineage; they all were born close to the world’s oldest archaeological discovery of domesticated cacao that has been found to date (the Monte Grande Temple in Peru) and used the traditional process to consume cacao. After almost a decade in Aotearoa, I felt a strong calling from the plant inviting me to reconnect with her and so, I became a Seleno Health Cacao ceremony facilitator. Creating these spaces to share with others is very important and special to me; not only because of the kind and wonderful people I get to meet, and the joy we experience together by strengthening our relationship with Mother Earth but also because through engaging in traditional practices we are keeping the wisdom of our ancestors alive./
