Kia ora koutou (Hello everyone),
The recent America’s Cup has concluded in Auckland and some of you may have had the opportunity to experience the race as a supporter, spectator, volunteer, or as a freelance event/project contractor.
I am part of a team of researchers at Auckland University of Technology and University of Otago, and we would like to reach out to individuals who are into sailing. We are particularly interested in your opinion on your involvement in the America’s Cup. The purpose of the study is to understand the motivations behind serious volunteers or freelance workers in AC36, and how that relates to their social world of sailing.
For those more serious into sailing as a leisure, we would like to invite you to a Skype/Zoom interview at a time convenient for you. Please send a couple of your available time slots to [email protected].
For leisure volunteers, we would like to invite you to complete a 10-minute anonymous survey by clicking on this link: https://aut.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5tpc1lv7UdNhi9E.
If you know a friend, colleague, or family member who were involved in the event, I would appreciate if you could share this message and the survey link with them.
Any insights are valuable to our study and we are grateful for your attention to consider our invitation.
Thank you!
