There was never going to be an easy way for me to write this. 💔
BFT Glenfield is closing.
Our final day will be Saturday, 12 September.
This gym was built to be so much more than somewhere you came for 50 minutes, did a workout and went home.
It was built to be a place people could walk through those doors and feel like they belonged.
This was to be somewhere a person who had never stepped foot in a gym before could feel just as at home as the fittest person in the room.
To be coached. To be challenged. To be told when you could do better, reminded of what you were capable of when you forgot, and celebrated when you achieved something you once thought you couldn’t.
A community where people actually knew each other. Where we noticed when you weren’t there. Where your kids were part of it. Where friendships were made, lives changed, people laughed until they cried and sometimes cried until they laughed.
And the fact that is exactly what was built is priceless. 🩵
There have been some incredibly hard moments behind the scenes, but when I look at what BFT Glenfield became, I will always be unbelievably proud.
Not because of membership numbers.
Not because of challenges won or PBs hit.
But because of the people.
You made this place what it was.
For everyone who trusted me to coach you, backed me, showed up, brought your friends and family, supported the gym through the good times and the really fu***ng hard ones — thank you.
I genuinely hope that when you think about BFT Glenfield, you remember how it made you feel.
Because that was always the point.
We have a little bit of time left together in our old home, and I have absolutely no intention of quietly disappearing.
So on Saturday, 12 September, we’re going to do what Glenfield does best.
Show up. Train hard. Be together.
And go out the way we deserve to. 🩵
Love you guys. Thank you for letting me build this with you.
