PPRC is a group of local legends from all walks of life. All ages, abilities and personalities. So we mean it when we say everyone is welcome.

You can run your own pace. Choose your own distance. And meet a bunch of like-minded people.

Pain isn’t the problem. Your relationship with it is.

Most people hear “pain” and think injury, suffering, something gone wrong. But pain shows up as self-doubt, grief, honesty, boundaries, the stretch of becoming someone new and the instinct is always the same: avoid it, numb it, fight it.

Here’s what we’ve learned coaching people through it:

Staying comfortable doesn’t actually protect you. It just trades one kind of pain for another, the quieter kind. Frustration. Disconnection. A life that looks fine on the outside and feels wrong on the inside.

So the real question was never whether pain exists. It’s which pain you’re choosing, the discomfort of growth, or the discomfort of staying exactly where you are.

The shift that changes this:

→ Notice it. Actually feel what’s happening instead of pushing through or numbing out.
→ Regulate. Settle your nervous system before you react to it.
→ Act. Choose your next move from a calm state, not a panicked one.

This isn’t about chasing discomfort for its own sake. It’s about no longer letting discomfort dictate your decisions.

That’s the work we help people do.

Stop worrying about the bees. 🐝

Life is always going to have things that stings.

But if you spend your whole life trying to avoid getting stung, you’ll never taste the honey.

The goal isn’t a life without pain.

Meditation is one wellness tool.

For Regan, it helped him find calmness. Reduce stress. Reduce anger. It quite literally felt like someone removed the metal rod from his spine.

And he doesn’t even use it anymore. He’s found other tools that give him the same benefits. These tools can come in and out of your life as you need them.

So many people tell us “I can’t meditate.” And that’s okay. You don’t have to. There are plenty of other tools you can add to your toolkit - the goal is finding what actually works for you.

Thanks for having us STRONG Pilates Silverdale it was so fun doing something very different to our usual training.
