Spring is in the air - the mares are cycling and the stallions are noticing 👀
It’s a waiting game for our one and only foal this year but we’ve enjoyed following along with the Avla breeding app which gives you cool little updates each month.

Some breeding, some shows and lots of riding scheduled for this summer 🌺 it’s going to be busy!!

Counting down the days - eta 15th November, but I’m thinking a few days over that for Glendale Africa Star ⭐️
Ponies are thriving on the open winter turn out but we are looking forward to having some of them home for 2026/2027 breeding season in a couple of months 🎉🎉

Things are a little quiet around here at the moment with the mares off in winter turn out and our 2025 foal, weaned and off to his new home in the coming weeks.

No youngstock shows for us 😪 hopefully in the coming seasons we will be out there for the foal shows, always a fun time ✨ good luck to everyone out there competing, enjoy the adventure!

Welcome to the North Island - Hollybank Alberto 🎉

Yesterday Bertie (Cadlanvalley Buzby x Bamborough Alexia) stepped out at his first show North Island Welsh Pony & Cob Show taking the overall Section B champion title. Thank you to Drayton Stud for Sponsoring the section 🌟
Very impressed with him taking it all in his stride, he was a pleasure to prepare/ travel and show.

Thank you Dawn for trusting us with him, he is truely special and it’s a honour to showcase a part of the Hollybank legacy up here.

Magic moment captured by my lifetime friend 📸 🥰

Jubilee Charlie’s Pride with mum (Louise) at Helensville A&P show.
Helensville show is always special to us, being our local show that we’ve attended for over 20years now. It’s also an ample opportunity to catch up with local friends and competitors with that old school A&P show vibe, right down to the lunchtime terrier race. We love it!!

Jubilee Charlie’s Pride (Jubilee Sandlewood x Tooravale Melody) shines from the inside out, as do all
our horses and ponies thanks to PowerStar Nutrition Ltd ✨ 💖

“…she is such a gentle soul with the kids always wants a snuggle in their arms 🥰 never seen such an affectionate horse 💕”

✨ Merry Christmas from Bamborough Ambassador ✨

At 23 years young, Sam continues to remind us just how deeply stallions can steal your heart. It’s truly an honour and a privilege to have him with us in his twilight years — gentle, kind, and as easy as they come 🤍

This year with our Welsh ponies has carried both joy and heartbreak. We farewelled our little mate Vanace Ta**us — forever missed — and welcomed a beautiful milestone with the arrival of Rune Hollow Secret Affairs’ very first foal. Life has a way of balancing itself, even when the road feels uneven.

Here’s to 2026 bringing a little more stability, fresh hope, and (fingers crossed 🤞) two healthy foals on the ground next spring.

Thank you to PowerStar Nutrition Ltd for your unwavering support and guidance, Rachel you really are amazing 🤩

From our paddocks to yours, we wish everyone a safe, happy, and pony-filled Christmas 🎁🐴✨
